Dear Unifor members at the Novotel North York Hotel,

As you are aware the Union along with your Bargaining Committee met with the Novotel North York Management on April 12^th. At this meeting, the Company gave us their final offer on the new collective agreement.

As a committee, we do not recommend acceptance of the final offer. But we believe it’s best for all members to have an opportunity to vote on whether to accept it or strike.

The vote will take place on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Johnson Room on the second floor of the Novotel North York hotel.

Please find attached a copy of the offer for your review.

BARGAINING UPDATE

Dear Unifor members at the Novotel North York Hotel,

We met with the Company on April 12th. At this meeting, the Company gave us their final offer on the new collective agreement.

As a committee, we do not recommend acceptance of the final offer. But we believe it’s best for all members to have an opportunity to vote on whether to accept it or strike.

The vote will take place on Thursday, April 27th, from 10am to 4pm at the hotel.

It is crucial that all members attend so that we can make this decision together.

In the meantime, the strike deadline is extended and there will be no labour disruption between now and the vote. Please continue to work as normal.

BARGAINING UPDATE FOR ALL MEMBERS AT THE NOVOTEL NORTH YORK HOTEL

Please be advised that we have extended the strike/lockout deadline until 12:01am on Thursday, April 13^th.

We have made some progress but there is still some distance between the Union’s position and the Employer’s position, which we hope to resolve this coming Wednesday.

Please continue working as normal. We will update you on Wednesday about whether we have reached a deal or whether we are going on strike.
