Bombardier Contract Voting/ Strike Pay
August 4, 2021
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members for registering for online voting. This message confirms your registration and going forward you will not need to register again to receive updates for future Elections or Negotiation Updates.
Strike Pay: Strike pay should be available this week for distribution by Friday August 6, 2021, barring any delivery delays from Ottawa. They will be distributed thru the in-plant committee. We ask for your patience while the cheques are being delivered and please observe your workplace social distancing guidelines. If your scheduled time for picket duty did not happen, you are still entitled to strike pay.
Ongoing Support: The dynamics of Bombardier and De Havilland working at the same location, as you are aware, is complicated. As a Union, we must continue to support both our members and the labour movement as a whole. Going forward we ask our Bombardier members to volunteer and support our sisters and brothers from De Havilland on their picket line at the East gate.
In solidarity,
Unifor Local 112

BOMBARDIER BARGAINING UPDATE
July 30, 2021
Sisters & Brothers,
Unifor Local 112, 673 and the National Union are pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with Bombardier.
We will be scheduling Zoom Webinar Ratification meetings (Production & Skilled Trades) for Saturday, July 31, 2021. Local 112 Zoom Webinar is scheduled for 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with the Skilled Trades ONLY meeting following immediately after in the same meeting.
Zoom Meeting information times will be confirmed via email to those members that have registered with your respective locals. Simply voting links will be sent at the beginning of the allotted voting times. Scheduled voting for Local 112 is from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 31, 2021.
Bombardier members will continue to keep our scheduled picket times running until the conclusion of the 12:00 midnight to 6:00 AM shift on Saturday morning.
Members must complete the shift to be eligible for their strike pay. We have requested support from our retired members and from Unifor’s Toronto area locals to cover the lines with our De Havilland members during our Zoom ratification meetings.
We also ask that our Bombardier members volunteer to join the line after the meeting and onwards to support our fellow De Havilland workers until such time as they reach an agreement.
We continue to negotiate with De Havilland at this time and our DH members will be updated via email when further information is available.
We want to thank all the members that participated and supported your bargaining committees during this bargaining process.
In Solidarity,
Unifor Local 112 & 673
Bargaining Update – Job Action Called
July 27, 2021
Unifor Local 112/673 members,
As of 10:00 a.m. today, the Unifor bargaining committees have been unable to reach tentative agreements with Bombardier and De Havilland. As a result, all four bargaining units have commenced strike action. Your Unifor bargaining committees remain at the table prepared to negotiate in an effort to bring this round of negotiations to a conclusion and address the important issues of our members.
We appreciate the continued support and patience of all Unifor members at Bombardier and De Havilland and we will provide you with further updates as bargaining continues.
In solidarity,
Scott McILmoyle
President
Unifor Local 112
